Soccer Field Skirmish, Attempted Robbery at Hotel, Indecent Exposure at Mall

The following are the most recent crimes in Arlington County, reported by Arlington County Police:

UNLAWFUL WOUNDING, 140515036, 4200 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. On May 15 at 1:59 pm, a subject struck a victim in the head with a rock following a dispute on a soccer field. The victim was transported to the hospital with a large laceration on his forehead. Fekadu Gemechu, 33, of Alexandria, VA was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding. He was held on a secured bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 140515023, at the Hilton Garden Inn, located in the 1300 block of N. Courthouse Road. At 11:20 am on May 15, an unknown subject allegedly attempted to rob a female victim at gunpoint outside of her hotel room. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to taking anything from the victim. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’6” tall and 160 lbs. He was wearing a gray jacket, tan pants and construction boots.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 140515063, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At 6:25 pm on May 15, as the male victim was using the restroom, a male subject entered and began masturbating next to him. The victim did not wish to prosecute but the suspect, Stephen Labas, 54, of Washington, DC was banned from the mall.

BURGLARY, 140515055, 1300 block of S. Thomas Street. Between 9 am and 4:45 pm on May 15, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole jewelry. There is no suspect(s) description.
