Congressman Moran to Sponsor Free Tax Help Demonstration in Arlington

Find out how to get free tax help.

Congressman Jim Moran will host a workshop on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at Arlington Mill Community Center to teach low and middle-income Virginians about the benefits of Free File tax preparation software and services.

Free File tax preparation services are available to any Virginia resident with income levels at or below $58,000, which saves tax preparation costs and helps taxpayers keep as much of their refund as possible. It is estimated that between 20 to 25 percent of eligible taxpayers fail to claim it each year.

Following a briefing from Moran, Dave Macklin of the CCIA, and Intuit representative Anthony Bedell, local community organizations and interested individuals will be able to experience one of the Free File products to demonstrate how easily one can file.
