Early Morning Delays Affect Customers on Metro's Blue and Orange Lines

Track problems at Federal Triangle threw a kink in the morning commute for metro riders on the Blue and Orange lines.

Metro riders traveling on the Blue and Orange lines faced continued delays throughout Monday morning due to an early morning track problem at Federal Triangle. Trains were sharing tracks between McPherson Square and Smithsonian. Metro representatives did not immediately know that cause of the track problem. More information to follow as available.

Commuters took to twitter to vent their frustrations over the delays and packed metro platforms:
