Mardi Gras Celebration Will Close Some Roads Tuesday in Arlington

Northbound N. Courthouse Road from N. 15th Street to Clarendon Boulevard will be closed from 1 p.m. until approximately 1 a.m.

The Clarendon-Courthouse Mardi Gras Parade and Bayou Bakery Bayou Gras Celebration will take place Tuesday. The Arlington County Police Department will conduct the following road closures to accommodate these events:

  • Wilson Boulevard from Veitch Street to Barton Street will be closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Adams Street and Wayne Street, between Clarendon Boulevard and Wilson Boulevard, will be closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Wilson Boulevard from Barton Street to Irving Street will be closed from 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Northbound N. Courthouse Road from N. 15th Street to Clarendon Boulevard will be closed from 1 p.m. until approximately 1 a.m.

Attendees are encouraged to use Metro as parking in the area is limited. 

In addition to the closures, street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call 703-558-2222.
