U.S. Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., will host a forum Monday night to educate the community about the federal health care reform and its effects on Northern Virginians.
“Navigating the Affordable Care Act: Making Health Reform Work for You and Your Family” will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria.
More than 100,000 people living in Virginia's 8th Congressional District go without adequate health insurance, according to the congressman’s office.
Experts will be available to discuss the new range of healthcare options that are becoming available Oct. 1 and the policies going into effect Jan 1.
“For the uninsured, the self-employed, small business employees, or those currently purchasing plans on the individual market, it is particularly important to learn how the (health insurance) exchange works and what insurance choices will be made available,” according to a statement from Moran's office.
