Votes Sought in Car Decal Contest

The winning decal will appear on more than 155,000 windshields later this year.

Arlington County officials are looking for your vote in the annual Vehicle Decal Design Competition.

This October, the county Treasurer’s Office invited Arlington high school students to submit designs for the competition. The theme is the USS Arlington, a Navy vessel being named after the county and set to be commissioned later this year.

The winning design will appear on more than 155,000 windshields when the 2013-14 decals are issued next summer, according to Arlington County. Four designs were finalists.
