Wow: Price Creeps Down on Jim Morrison's Childhood Home in Arlington

An open house is scheduled at the property for this weekend.

The asking price for the North Arlington home that neighbors believe once counted a young Jim Morrison as one of its occupants is creeping down.

The heavily renovated home at 2320 Evergreen St. N. is listed at $920,000 — a slight drop from the $949,000 asking price just last month.

In July, the Washington Post reported that the current owners of the home have invested more than $100,000 into exterior renovations and didn't realize the Morrison family lived there until news crews asked about it a few years ago.

The 1947 Cape Cod-style home includes a remodeled eat-in kitchen, three remodeled baths, hardwood floors, a main-level master addition with a spa-like bath, and a fully furnished lower level with a rec room, den and storage space, according to the listing on AOL Real Estate.

"All this and Jim Morrison's childhood home to boot!" the listing states.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is about 2,364 square feet and sits on a 0.2-acre lot.

An open house is scheduled at the property for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Morrison's father was an admiral in the U.S. Navy and the family reportedly lived in several Virginia locations, including Alexandria, according to the Post.
