Getting ready to send the kids back to school? The Virginia sales tax holiday begins this week, allowing people to purchase certain school supplies, clothing and footwear with no sales tax
Each eligible school supply item must be priced at $20 or less and each eligible article of clothing and footwear must cost $100 or less.

This year, the event takes place Aug. 2 through Aug. 4.
Some retailers are choosing to offer tax breaks on additional items as well to lure in shoppers, so you could score yourself some good deals on lots of shopping this weekend. See the Virginia Department of Taxation’s website for more information.
