Nearly two and a half years ago I was accepted into the MBA program at George Washington University. Almost immediately after, I left my job in Atlanta, Georgia to prepare for my move back to Washington, D.C. The catch: I had eight months between leaving my job and school starting. What grew from this became known as The Summer of Scott*, eight months filled with debauchery and travel to prepare me for a two year Masters program that consisted of a lot of debauchery and travel.
* The Summer of Scott, of course, being patterned after “The Summer of George” – what George Constaza did in the weeks after being let go by the New York Yankees in his quest of “self-enlightenment”
Later this month I will be graduating from GW, and while I have a job lined up, it does not begin until August. Thus begins another Summer of Scott. This blog will document my Summer as I attempt to keep myself busy in Ballston**.

** My dog Delta will probably play a big part in this blog. After all, his afternoon walk is my only standing, daily appointment.
So stay tuned! This Summer is bound to be a good time!
