The Washington Redskins have worked since 2007 to get back to the NFL playoffs — but it's been a heck of a ride. Next stop: Sunday's wildcard game against the Seattle Seahawks.
All this hailing to the Redskins should seem familiar. In 2007, the Redskins also made the NFL playoffs as a wildcard team. And, just like this year, that 2007 playoff game was against the Seattle Seahawks.
Let's hope the similarities end there, because the Seahawks won the last time around. That game, though was in Seattle. Sunday, the Redskins are at home for the first time in the NFL playoffs since they beat the Detroit Lions in 1999.
Can Robert Griffin III — RG3 — pull off another run against the Seahawks like this Oct. 14 performance against the Minnesota Vikings? Check out this video of the RGIII touchdown run.
Or will Alfred Morris carry the day as he did here against the Cowboys and continue his record-breaking season? Here's video of a Morris touchdown run.
The latest betting lines favor Seattle over Washington by 3. Don’t forget to let the team know how you feel about the season, the victory over Dallas and the upcoming playoff games.
If you're not so lucky to have tickets, here are some local bars in Arlington that are carrying the game:
