Virginia High School Football Playoffs: Yorktown Travels to Lake Braddock on Friday

Washington-Lee knocked out of playoffs by Stonewall Jackson.

Yorktown will face the Lake Braddock Bruins on Friday for the next round of high school football playoffs following the Patriots' 12-7 win over the Fairfax Rebels this past weekend in Arlington.

Yorktown plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Lake Braddock Secondary School, 9200 Burke Lake Road, Burke. Yorktown entered the playoffs ranked No. 7; Lake Braddock, No. 2.

The Patriots' win last Friday was largely thanks to fullback Da'Jhaun Short, who stepped in for the team's star running back, M.J. Stewart, according to the Washington Post. Stewart had an ankle injury. Short carried the ball 28 times for 164 yards, according to the Post.
