Farms are usually known for fall festivals, corn mazes and pumpkin patches. But there’s still a lot to do to wrap up the summer, and you can help. Today, Thursday, Sept. 12, your family can spend some time at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon.
The last day of summer is Sept. 21. Or, you can look at it this way: The first day of fall is Sept. 22. Patch has found something for you to do each day as we count down until summer passes us by.
Check our events calendar to see what’s happening in our community, and add your own events!
The program at Frying Pan gives children a look at farm chores like milking cows, feeding animals and shucking corn. Best for ages 2 and up. Tickets are $5. The fun begins at 4 p.m. at Frying Pan Farm Park, 2709 W. Ox Road.
The state has more resources to help you visit a Virginia farm.
