As long as the weather cooperates, the Crystal City Twilighter 5K Race promises to bring a lot of legs to Arlington on Saturday — and a lot of road closures.

Here's the full schedule of events and a map of the race.

Northbound and Southbound lanes of Crystal Drive between 23rd and 20th streets close first, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and don't open again until 11:15 p.m.

Then the traffic fun really begins with these streets closed from 8 to 9:45 p.m.:

  • All lanes of Crystal Drive between Route 1 and 23rd Street
  • Northbound lanes of Crystal Drive between 20th and 15th streets
  • One southbound lane of Crystal Drive between 20th and 15th streets
  • Northbound lanes of Potomac Avenue between Crystal Drive and the Potomac Yard movie theater
  • One southbound lane of Potomac Avenue between 33rd Street and the Potomac Yard movie theater
  • 33rd Street between Potomac Avenue and Crystal Drive
Race organizers say the run will go on unless weather conditions make it too dangerous. Saturday's forecast for Arlington calls for cloudy skies to give way to scattered thunderstorms -- just before race time.
