Fourth of July: Arlington's Weather Forecast

The county will see a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Arlington will see a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms on the Fourth of July, but the holiday weekend should bring clear skies.

The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday, primarily between noon and 5 p.m.

"Patchy" fog may roll in before 9 a.m. Thursday. The rest of the day should be partly sunny with a high near 90 and a light wind.

The temperature should drop as the time nears to watch fireworks, with a low of around 73 forecast for Thursday night. The weather service predicts a slight (20 percent) chance of thunderstorms before 9 p.m.

As for the rest of the weekend, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 90. Friday night's low is forecast to be 73.
  • Saturday will be partly sony with a high near 91. Nighttime should see the temperature drop to around 73.
  • Sunday's forecast is the same as Saturday's.
