Registration Open for Summer Adult Soccer Programs in Arlington

The county will offer pick-up games for beginning, intermediate and advanced players, plus a clinic for novices.

Registration for Arlington County Parks and Recreation summer soccer programs is now under way.

The county offers pick-up soccer programs for beginning, intermediate and advanced adult players. Games are informal and organized by the players on the field, according to the county's website. Games are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, grouped by skill level, from June to August.

Shin guards are required and cleats are recommended, according to the county.

The clinic will be held on Sundays beginning July 14.

"These clinics are NOT for people who have played a lot of soccer. They are for people who have never played, who played as a child but not since then, or who have played for a year or two and want to improve their basic skills. Total beginners are most welcome," the county's website states.
