Energy bills too high? Could your office, apartment, or house of worship benefit from lighting retrofits? Why not have the County pay for some of those costs for you?!
Arlington County has partnered with Virginia Sustainable Building Network (VSBN) to promote AIRE's Lighting Retrofit Rebate Program the county is offering to commercial customers for certain lighting installations and retrofits.
The AIRE program is available to those served by Dominion® under a commercial rate. This includes offices, many apartments and condominiums, food sales & services, health care, lodging, mercantile, religious worship, warehouse & storage, and others. This program can cover the cost of either new equipment or replacement of existing equipment.
The program commenced 1 October 2012. Reimbursements will not be provided for lighting retrofits that occured prior to the program inception. Projects must be installed and operable before rebates will be paid. We also ask that before and after photographs are taken. Rebates cannot be reserved and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Maximum rebates of $5,000 per electric meter for those served by Dominion Virginia Power under a commercial rate may be received for lighting retrofits.
