Urban Farming, High School Musical, Gordon Biersch Anniversary and More

The future of urban farming? Arlington Central Library is holding a free screening of "Truck Farm" at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The movie looks at urban farming, "blending serious exposition with serious silliness," according to the event notice. Learn more about the film and food project here.

See "High School Musical 3" in Rosslyn: The Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival on Friday will feature "High School Musical 3," in which high school students struggle with the idea of being separated when they head off to college. This Disney flick starts at dusk Friday at Gateway Park.

Classic Rock at Potomac Overlook Regional Park: This week's summer concert at Potomac Overlook Regional Park isWest on 66, a Bristow-based band that plays electric and acoustic classic rock. Gordon Biersch continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary by offering its house beers for $2.50 every Tuesday in August. The brew pub chain has two locations in Washington (900 F St. NW and 100 M St. SE), a pub in McLean (7861 Tysons Corner Center) and another location in Annapolis, Md.

Make Gyotaku fish prints! How did Japanese fishermen record their catches? They rolled ink or paint onto them and pressed them against a piece of paper to make a print. Join in on the fun for kids and families using a rubber fish from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Anacostia Community Museum, 1901 Fort Place SE, Washington. The event is free.
