One Last (After) Halloween Bar Crawl, Day of the Dead and More This Weekend in Arlington

Five things to help get your weekend started in and around Arlington.

One Last (After) Halloween Bar Crawl: The Clarendon Halloween Crawl is 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday and features 12 bars, including Arlington Rooftop, Spider Kelly's and IOTA Club & Cafe. Cost: $15 advance, $20 at the door. More info here.

Day of the Dead Celebration: The Arlington Arts Center will host its 10th annual Dia De Los Muertos — or, Day of the Dead — Celebration at 6 p.m. Friday. It'll feature dancing, a live mariachi band, Mexican hot chocolate and "bread of the dead" — plus, an exhibition featuring 12 artists. Free. A workshop for teens starts at 4:30 p.m. The Arlington Arts Center is at 3550 Wilson Blvd. More info here

Dining to Stop DiabetesLa Tasca, the tapas restaurant, and the Pentagon City California Pizza are among restaurants that will donate a portion of their proceeds to the American Diabetes Association in November. So, starting Friday, eat for a good cause.

Scenes from U.S. 17: In November, Gallery Underground in Crystal City features the photographs of Catherine Powers. The exhibit features photos taken along the 1,100-mile U.S. Highway 17, which covers swamps, beaches, small villages, military towns and historic communities. More info here.

Novemberfest: The Neighborhood Restaurant Group is hosting a smaller version of its monstrous Snallygaster beer festival Saturday, Nov. 2 outside Rustico on Slaters Lane in Alexandria. Novemberfest, which will run from noon to 5 p.m., will feature more than 50 stouts, porters, hopped IPAs, pumpkin ales and much more selected by NRG beer maestro Greg Engert. Admission is $5 at the door and it includes a Novemberfest can koozie while supplies last.
