Hillary Clinton to Sign Her New Book at Arlington Costco

It's first-come, first-serve Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is coming to Arlington this weekend to sign copies of her new book, "Hard Choices," according to a report by ABC.

The former first lady and U.S. Senator from New York will be at Costco, 1200 S. Fern St. in Arlington, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and will sign copies of her new book on a "first-come, first-serve" basis, Costco store employee Mary Sejas said Thursday.

The discount store is located across the street from the Pentagon City metro. The store's parking lot is notoriously crowded, especially on weekends.

Copies of the book will be for sale at Costco, for $19.40, Sejas said. Also: Anyone who comes to the store for the book signing must be a member of Costco. The annual membership to Costco starts at $55.

Customers must either purchase a book or bring a copy of the book to have it signed, Sejas said. No photos will be allowed, she noted.

Here's how publisher Simon & Schuster describes the book:

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s inside account of the crises, choices, and challenges she faced during her four years as America’s 67th Secretary of State, and how those experiences drive her view of the future.

“All of us face hard choices in our lives,” Hillary Rodham Clinton writes at the start of this personal chronicle of years at the center of world events. “Life is about making such choices. Our choices and how we handle them shape the people we become.”

In the aftermath of her 2008 presidential run, she expected to return to representing New York in the United States Senate. To her surprise, her former rival for the Democratic Party nomination, newly elected President Barack Obama, asked her to serve in his administration as Secretary of State. This memoir is the story of the four extraordinary and historic years that followed, and the hard choices that she and her colleagues confronted.

Clinton will be in D.C. Friday night for a sold-out event organized by Politics & Prose bookstore, at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium.
Can't make it to either event? You can purchase a copy of Clinton's book on Amazon.com.

Clinton was in Virginia most recently in the fall, campaigning in Falls Church for Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

A Ready for Hillary political action committee office is located in nearby southern Fairfax County near the Huntington metro station. The movement is a run-up to a potential second presidential run by Clinton.
