Imagine Schools is comprised of 73 public charter schools in 12 states and the District of Columbia. Imagine Schools are public schools of choice and are tuition-free. Imagine's teachers and parents work together to give the students an education that prepares them for lives of "leadership, accomplishment and character." Imagine's mission is "to help parents and guardians educate their children by creating learning communities of achievement and hope." Imagine was founded in 2004 by Arlington residents Dennis and Eileen Bakke. Three Imagine School campuses are in Washington, D.C., as well as three in nearby Maryland.
