St. George's Episcopal is located in the heart of Ballston and is passionate about making God known in Arlington. St.More George's is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, which welcomes people of all backgrounds, ages, faiths, genders, races, cultures, sexual orientations and family units. St. George's and rector Shearon Skyes Williams offer classes and choirs for people of all ages, in addition to other community-based gatherings and outreach. Also worshipping on St. George's grounds is Lglesia San Jose. Lglesia San Jose, founded by St. George's, is the oldest Spanish-language Episcopal congregation in Northern Virginia. 
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

The primary mission of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is to find ways to reduce crashes and the overallMore cost of collision. This 501(c)3 non-profit researches highway safety and evaluates crash tests. Their Ballston location completes all of the research and community outreach. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also maintains a location in Charlottesville, Virginia. Charlottesville is in charge of preforming all crash tests.

The organization was originally based out of the Watergate Building in Washington, DC. It moved to Ballston in 1990 to expand the organization's size. Ballston allows them the opportunity to promote alternative forms of safe travel for their employees. It is also close enough to the district to keep information available to Capitol Hill.

The organization celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009 with an anniversary test crash. The crash matched a 1959 Chevrolet Belair against a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu in a 40mph head on collision. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety was pleased to report that the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu faired much better in safety ratings than its 1959 counterpart.

Cherrydale United Methodist Church is a vibrant and active congregation committed to living our faith through communityMore service, fellowship and Christian education. Sunday services are at 8:30 am (informal worship with communion) and 11:00 am (traditional service). Sunday School for children takes place during the 11:00 service. Nursery care is available for all services. There is an active Youth Group that meets on Sunday evenings. Adult Bible study takes place at 9:30 am on Sundays. Some of our outreach programs include: youth and adult mission trips; international hunger relief; local hunger relief through gleaning, food drives, fundraising, Plot Against Hunger for AFAC, etc.; Blessing of the Animals service; Living Nativity; family Easter egg hunt & celebration; free outdoor summer movies; Vacation Bible School; concert events; and host to Early Years Preschool.
