The rich, creamy cheese mixture sandwiched between pecan halves makes this a delicious appetizer sure to impress your guests!

Here we are, in November already. I hope you all are having a wonderful start to the cold and wintery months. I think I actually saw hints of frost on the cars around Ballston yesterday! Not a welcomed sight for me, I'll tell you that. But on a more positive note-November means we get to start a new featured ingredient in our recipes for the month. For November, we'll be featuring pecans. As always, we'll be featuring this ingredient in multiple types of components to a great meal. This month, we'll be making an appetizer, a side dish, a main course, and of course-a dessert. Now, before we get started,  I have to share something with you. Pumpkin Soup

This unique twist on a traditional pumpkin soup is sure to warm you up on a crisp fall day.

I love soup. Especially in the fall/winter. Especially squash based soup. For me, it doesn't get any better than a butternut squash or pumpkin based soup. Which drives my husband nuts-as he hates that type of soup because it essentially "just tastes like blended baby food." His words. So...I wanted to find a unique, grown-up pumpkin soup to try out this week to get him to change his mind. I wanted something sophisticated and delicious: something that would make an excellent start to a delicious fall meal. What I found was in a cookbook I got for my wedding.
