Police: Man Exposes Himself to Woman at Arlington Central Library

A 67-year-old man was charged in the incident.

A 67-year-old man is accused of exposing himself to a woman inside the Arlington Central Library, according to the Arlington County Police Department. Patrick Robert Rooney, of no fixed address, was charged with indecent exposure, according to police. He was held with no bond. Police report that the incident took place at 5:30 p.m. on March 14 in the 1000 block of North Quincy Street. Officers located Rooney shortly later in the area, according to police.

Crime Report: Currency Exchange Robbed, Man Charged with Indecent Exposure, and More

Robbery A currency exchange station was robbed on Christmas Eve, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The robbery took place at 2:42 p.m. Dec. 24 at the exchange inside the Pentagon City Mall, 1100 S. Hayes St., according to police.  The suspect was described as a man approximately 50 years old, 150 pounds, and with a short beard. He wore a jean jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt and a black hat, according to police. Indecent exposure A 63-year-old man has been charged with indecent exposure after police said he was seen masturbating inside the sauna of a gym. Morris Umansky, of Arlington, was seen fondling himself at the gym at 9:21 a.m. Dec. 21 at the gym in the 3500 block of South Clark Street, according to police. …

Man Sentenced for Indecent Exposure on Metro

Robert Lee Scott Jr., 48, of Capitol Heights, Md., was spotted masturbating on the Metro, according to police.

An online reporting tool helped Metro Transit Police catch a man who witnesses said was fondling himself on a train. Robert Lee Scott Jr., 48, of Capitol Heights, Md., was charged with two counts of indecent exposure within the Metrorail system in the July 26 incident. Witnesses had reported seeing a man masturbating on a train at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport station in Arlington. Police responded and officers detained Scott, who matched the description that witnesses gave to police. The detective noticed that Scott was wearing a shirt with a logo that matched the description from two previously reported incidents: one reported online earlier the same day and one reported the previous day. Police: Man Exposes Himself to Woman in Dressing Room

Incident marks third reported exposure case in one week.

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating yet another reported indecent exposure, this time at a retail store on South Glebe Road. At about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, a woman was in a dressing room stall at a business in the 10 block of South Glebe Road (near the intersection of Arlington Boulevard/Route 50). The walls between each stall did not go to the floor, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. An unidentified man was in the stall next to the woman. He first put his hand under the stall, and then he got on the ground and positioned himself where she could see his genitalia, Sternbeck said. WJLA: Man Exposes Himself to Incoming W-L Freshman

In another incident, Arlington Police say a man exposed himself to a female passenger on a VRE train.

An incoming Washington-Lee High School freshman was walking through the school's parking lot to freshman orienation on Tuesday when a man wearing only socks and running shoes approached the 14-year-old student, ABC 7 reports. "The victim was walking though the parking garage just after 10 a.m. when a white male in his 40s jumped out at the boy," the station reports. "Shaken, the teen took off and called police." In a separate incident, an unknown subject exposed himself to a female passenger on a VRE train approaching Crystal City sometime between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m. Monday. Police: Man Exposes Himself on Clarendon Restaurant Patio

Spokesman: Woman waited two days to report crime.

Arlington police are looking for an older man who they say exposed himself to a woman this weekend on the patio of a Clarendon restaurant. The man is in his mid-60s with shoulder-length white hair, according to police. Investigators so far are not sure if the person they are looking for was involved in a similar incident a few weeks ago nearby on North Fillmore Street. At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, the man was sitting by himself at a table on the patio of a restaurant in the 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard, according to information police released this week. Indecent Exposure Reported on North Rhodes Street

Arlington County police are investigating a case of indecent exposure in the Radnor-Fort Myer Heights neighborhood, the latest in a string of such crimes going on two months. At about 9 a.m. Thursday, a woman in the 1500 block of North Rhodes Street saw an unknown man outside her window exposing himself, according to information police released Friday. "The victim stated he was between a trash can and a tree outside of her window," police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. "She noticed him first, as she was making breakfast, and realized he had his (genitalia) out. They made eye contact, and the suspect fled." It's not clear if the woman was targeted, Sternbeck said. Spokesman: Suspect fled while employee reported incident to manager.

The Arlington County Police Department is investigating a case of indecent exposure reported at a pharmacy on Columbia Pike. At about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, an unidentified man was seen masturbating in an aisle of a store in the 5000 block of Columbia Pike, according to information police released today. He had only been in the store a few minutes before he was spotted, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. The man, thought to be in his mid-20s, was seen by a loss prevention manager at the store. The employee reported the matter to the store manager and then called the police, Sternbeck said. Meanwhile, the man fled. Police: Man Charged with Indecent Exposure in Shirlington

Spokesman: Victim identified attacker to police.

Billy Lollar, 28, of Arlington, has been charged with indecent exposure after an incident in Shirlington this week. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman leaving a parking garage in the 3000 block of South Randolph Street saw the man exposing himself to her, according to police. Lollar was about 15 to 20 feet away from her, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. It isn't clear if the two know each other or had a prior relationship, he said. The woman entered an adjacent parking garage, called police and waited for officers to arrive. She identified Lollar to the officers, Sternbeck said. Lollar was released Wednesday after posting a $2,000 bond, according to the Arlington County Sheriff's Office.
