The Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus is hosting a fundraiser featuring U.S. Sen. Al Franken on Tuesday at Ireland's Four Courts restaurant in the Courthouse neighborhood. "We're excited to have well-known and popular political figure U.S. Senator Al Franken come to Northern Virginia to help Democrats keep the Senate majority," Steve Pazmino, caucus executive director, stated in an email to Patch. You can blame this enormous unemployment problem on the failure of these leaders in Washington. They continue to allow both legal and illegal immigrants (looking for jobs) to enter our Country in the face of the worst recession ever. This has the biggest impact on people without college education. Time for new leadership. more ›
