Vice President Joe Biden visited Clarendon's Liberty Tavern Wednesday. He was there filming a segment for MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show that is scheduled to air Thursday morning. "They told us they had a short list of restaurants in Arlington and Alexandria and Liberty Tavern was chosen," said Mark Fedorchak, who is an owner of the Liberty Tavern, Northside Social Coffee & Wine, and Lyon Hall restaurants in Clarendon. Members of the Secret Service were spotted outside the restaurant by Twitter users as early as 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Virginia's veterans are being called to a different battleground in November — the ballot box. Rallying the troops on Thursday was Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, an Iraq veteran and son of Vice President Joe Biden, who declared, "If we win in Virginia, there really is no path to victory for Mitt Romney."
