Paul Ryan of Wisconsin faced off Thursday night in a heated debate that covered foreign wars, tax reform, healthcare, abortion, and their shared faith in the Catholic Church.  During the debate, broadcast live from Centre College in Danville, Ky., Biden flexed his experience with foreign policy when answering questions about ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, nuclear arms in Iran and whether to send troops to Syria. “The last thing America needs is to get in a ground war in the Middle East,” Biden said. Ryan called the Obama administration’s foreign policy “chaotic,” criticizing the lack of security present during the September attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya, …

Beau Biden: Romney, Ryan Violate 'Sacred Obligation' to Vets

Vice president's son says a blue Virginia would block a Romney presidency.

Virginia's veterans are being called to a different battleground in November — the ballot box. Rallying the troops on Thursday was Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, an Iraq veteran and son of Vice President Joe Biden, who declared, "If we win in Virginia, there really is no path to victory for Mitt Romney." Beau Biden headlined a Veterans for Obama event in Arlington a little more than two hours before Romney formally accepted the GOP presidential nomination in Tampa. Veterans account for more than 10 percent of the state's population, and both parties are working hard to curry favor with America's servicemen and servicewomen. Biden accused Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, of violating a "sacred obligation" to take care of this …

Tell the world Beau! You've been there and know! Thanks for your service to our great country! Sorry for those who seem to feel the only good soldier is a republican soldier, but sadly their ideology is such that they cannot see beyond their own thoughts. Thank heaven for the people who reach out to all our troops, thanking them for all they do, regardless of their political affiliation!   more ›
