Meet Pete Snyder: One of Seven Republicans Running for Lieutenant Governor

Tech entrepreneur Pete Snyder, founer of Arlington-based New Media Strategies, is in a crowded race for the GOP's nomination for lieutenant governor of Virginia. With seven Republican candidates vying for the nomination and at least two Democrats running — state Sen. Ralph Northam and Arlington's Aneesh Chopra, the former U.S. Chief Technology Officer — it could make for an interesting down-ballot race.  "I want to rein in the size and scope of government," Snyder told a Republican group in Springfield earlier this month.
