Arlington Police: Man Pushes Woman To Ground in Purse Snatching

The incident happened while the woman was walking home from work.

A man grabbed a woman by the head and pushed her to the ground before snatching her purse, according to the Arlington County Police Department.  The incident happened as the woman walked home from work at 12:10 a.m. Monday in the 4100 block of 4th Street North, police report. The man ran away from the scene. He is in his late 20s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Crime Report: Purse Snatching, Car Burglaries

The following information was reported by the Arlington County Police Department through Wednesday.

Top crime/public safety news of the week: The following incidents were reported Wednesday by the Arlington County Police Department: Robbery A woman walking home from the Ballston Metro Station had her purse snatched just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to police. The woman told police that she briefly chased the man before losing track of him. The robber was heavy set, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and bald.   Attempted Armed Robbery A sales clerk at Nordstrom’s jewelry department was held at gunpoint, according to police. The robber entered the store at 1400 S. Hayes St. at about 10 a.m. Friday. When the man pulled out a gun, the victim hit a panic alarm and the suspect fled without taking any merchandise. The man was described …
