The Doomsday Before Christmas? World Supposedly Ends Friday (Or Not)

Several Arlington venues are hosting End of the World parties.

All those times the end of the world would happen never did. We had y2k nothing happened. Then in 2003. And a couple more and now for the holidays. Nothing has ever happened. I don't believe none of it and I'm tired of feeling bad for having two beautiful girls cause I did believe this and feared they would have to go thru it. Readers Choose Front Page Arlington as Best Spot for Mother's Day Brunch

Restaurant adding extra dessert to its brunch buffet Sunday.

The Front Page Arlington won our special Readers' Choice contest to determine the best place for Mother's Day brunch in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. "We here at the Front Page take a lot of pride in everything we do, but our brunch as always been excellent. It's a great spread," said Emily Garber, the restaurant's events and promotions manager. "We offer almost anything you can think of. We have an omelet station, a carving station, waffles. We have a bloody mary station, where you can make your own bloody mary. It's a fun atmosphere." For Mother's Day, which is Sunday, the Front Page is offering is regular brunch buffet but adding a lot more dessert, Garber said. "We're expecting a good day on Sunday," she said. The Front Page Wins 'Readers' Choice' Competition

Patch readers picked The Front Page Arlington as the best spot to watch a Caps game.

Congratulations to The Front Page Arlington on being crowned the best spot in Ballston to watch the Caps play.  The Front Page was up against CarPool, Union Jack's British Pub of Ballston, Bailey's Sports Grille, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery and First Down Sports Bar & Grill.  Earning 12 of the 20 total votes in the poll, The Front Page is definitely an Arlington favorite. Voting was open from Monday at 5 a.m. until Friday at 9 a.m..
