Arlington Gives Back

Arlington Nonprofits to Receive $200K in Grants

Eighteen organizations will benefit from United Way community impact fund grants.

Several Arlington nonprofits will receive grants adding up to about $200,000 on Tuesday.  The sum will be split up among 18 charities in Arlington County and the region. The nonprofits were awarded the funds from the United Way of the National Capital Area. Nearly $1.65 million was raised in the region through the United Way’s annual workplace giving campaign. Employees from more than 800 workplaces at more than 3,000 locations in the region raised money. Arlington County Board Chairman Walter Tejada will be presented a ceremonial check on behalf of the charities during the board's meeting Tuesday.   The grants are being awarded to:
