Midnight Screenings of 'The Hobbit' Come to Arlington's Courthouse Neighborhood

Fans of J.R.R Tolkien can still pick up tickets for a midnight showing of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" at the AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 Theater this week. Lines are sure to form Thursday night for the fantasy film's 12:01 a.m. Friday debut. Late Tuesday, tickets for several screenings in the Courthouse theater were still available. The theater offers reserved seating and new plush leather seats. Want to make a night of it? The Bilbo Baggins pub in Old Town Alexandria may be an apropos place to start.
