CEB announced Monday the company will add 800 local jobs and move into a 350,000-square-foot space atop one of the D.C. area's tallest office buildings.

Arlington-based advisory company CEB (NYSE:CEB) announced Monday plans to invest $149 million in a new headquarters that will create 800 new jobs in Rosslyn.

The new “CEB Tower,” a 31-story mixed-use development, will cost $149.7 million.

CEB, a member-based advisory company that provides research and analytics to clients, will relocate its Arlington headquarters and 1,400 existing employees to the top 15 floors of the new mixed-use complex development located above the Rosslyn Metro Station in Arlington. CEB has signed an agreement to lease about 350,000 square feet in the JBG Cos. Central Place development.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced Monday the Governor’s Opportunity Fund would grant the project $4.5 million in addition to $5 million from the Virginia Economic Development Grant (VEDIG).

"Virginia has proudly served as home to CEB since its move from the District in 2008,” McAuliffe said in a statement. “A new global headquarters and investment of this magnitude are tremendous testaments to the confidence the company has in Arlington County and the Commonwealth as it grows its presence internationally, and creates the workspace and technology for jobs of the 21st century.”
