Dia De Los Muertos Celebration

More about celebrating life than remembering death, this special day encourages us to connect with loved ones while reflecting on the ties that bind the past to present. Join us for dancing, a live mariachi band, Mexican hot chocolate and pan de los muerto (bread of the dead). At the heart of the excitement is an exhibition featuring twelve artists, presenting works on the Day of the Dead. Free and open to the public!

AAC's 10th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Artists: David Amoroso, Dana Ellyn, Ric Garcia, Jeannette Hererra, Nicolas de Jesus, Carlos Lara, Claudia Olivos, Sergio Olivos, Orlando Sanchez, Matt Sesow, Gloria Valdes Tarasca, Ivan Mendizabal Nuffio

Also be sure to check out our Dia De Los Muertos Workshop for teens (ages 11-14) happening from 4:30-6:00 PM before the event! Inspired by the work of Mexican draftsman and printmaker Jose-Guadalupe Posada, students will learn printmaking techniques to create works of art featuring Day of the Dead imagery. Free but registration required in advance: https://register.asapconnected.com/Courses.aspx?CourseGroupID=9286
