Man Falls to his Death in Ballston

A man fell to his death from his apartment building in Ballston this morning.

Updated: Arlington County Police Spokeswoman, Detective Crystal Nosal confirmed that a person, a male as far as she knows, did fall to his death in Ballston this morning. She said, "We are investigating this as a suicide and there is no sign that there were any gunshots involved." 

She said that people could have heard other loud noises and attributed that sound to a gunshot, but the police have found no evidence of gunshots. 

Nosal also confirmed that the person fell from an apartment building.

Initial Report: Patch readers are reporting that a male fell to his death from an apartment building in Ballston on 9th Street, between N. Quincy and N. Randolph, just before 9 a.m. this morning. 

Patch received a Breaking News Network alert at 9:11 a.m. that said: "VA| Arlington| Arlington| *Fatal Fall*| 9th St N at Randolph Towers| PD investigating a male who fell/jumped from an upper floor. Civilians also reporting possible shots fired prior to the incident|."
