National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisory for today beginning at 12 p.m. until 8 PM for the Metropolitan Area (including Arlington County), according to the Arlington Alert service.

The alert sent Tuesday evening goes on to say, "National Weather Service expects the temperature high to be in the mid 90s and the Heat Index to reach 105 in the afternoon hours.

Additionally, the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) and the District Department of the Enviroment (DDOE) have issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert Wednesday for the D.C.
